Swarovski Microphone For Sparkling Karaoke Sessions

Published by Rachel under Misc Edit This

Swarovski Microphone

These Swarovski studded microphones are from Sennheiser USA, a company which offers to adorn your plain mics with the sparkling crystals. The service will set you back between $600 to $1000, or opt for a skinned version at less than $50.

Now I don’t know if having a studded microphone should affect your singing voice, but perhaps this service should be good for those who are into performing, professionally. Because let’s face it, the crystals does add style and drama don’t they? Just imagine how it would look on stage.

I know Barbra Streisand demands for a special kind of microphone when she sings because it helps her perform better. So, I think I’d understand it when someone wants to have theirs studded and prettified like this, inspite of the cost.

“I Need My Space” Apron from NASA

Published by Rachel under Misc Edit This

Well, I’m totally loving this one!

Nasa Space Apron

This is actually someone even the men can wear, without feeling their manly ego bruised or something. The NASA logo on the apron kind of brings the testosterone card to the whole look, it’s not at all too girly so it’s easier for men to wear this. But then again, the words “I need my space” sounds a lot like something a woman usually says, doesn’t it?

The apron has a nice play on words. It gets across as really humorous.

It is available for an affordable $19 at the Kennedy Space Center Shop and would make a great present for the cooking fanatic in your family, male or female.

Ice Cube Invaders

Published by Rachel under Misc Edit This

See, the simple things make me the happiest and I am truly getting a kick out of this one from Fred’s Spring Catalog.

Ice Invaders

These are none other than ice cubes shaped like those video game thingies from the Space Invaders. I am sure a lot of you recognize them, especially if you once played this one like crazy back in the 80’s and 90’s.

Use this at your parties or intimate dinners with friends over at your house, and I’m pretty sure it will be, literally, an ice breaker with your guests. Imagine all of the nostalgic stories you can exchange about that time when you all were addicted to playing the video game. (It was the ultimate craze, wasn’t it?)

The tray is made of 100% silicon so it’s safe for use even in the dishwasher (for cleaning).

The product will be out in Spring, but there is no word yet on pricing.

Dates in Focus With Camera Lens Calendar

Published by Rachel under Misc Edit This

Camera Lens Calendar

Paper calendars are all generic and boring, no matter what the design. Breaking away from this concept, designer Sharad Haksar devised a new way to tell dates and keep appointments with this Camera Lens Calendar.

It is a battery powered device that keeps the right date in focus and alignment at the f-stop. For most photographers, this one will probably be a big hit with them. But for those not into the hobby, imagine how much this piece would make a great conversation piece with guests. One of its setback though? The calendar is only good to go until 2032.

The device is supposedly already on its way to the market. However, its price is still undetermined.

Slim Down With This Hello Kitty Slendertone

Published by Rachel under Misc Edit This

Hello Kitty Slendertone

It may look funny doing your exercises or trimming down your fat with a gear like this. It looks something fit for a thirteen year old, doesn’t it? With it’s pink trims and the Hello Kitty logo, one would mistake this one as a child’s toy. But then again, this would probably be okay to use if you don’t intend to hit the gym and just exercise at the comforts of your home, right?

This device is called the Slendertone.  And it is only released via Sanrio Japan.

If you’re into Sanrio stuff though, as I know several people are, I would understand why you’d want to have this one, simply for the joy of collecting Hello Kitty items.

Wear Bear Gloves This Cold Holiday Season

Published by Rachel under Misc Edit This

Remember my post about this USB heated sleepers ? I just found its match, something you can use for your hands this time —

Bear Gloves

Because it’s becoming colder and colder indoors, my hands sometimes end up freezing that I have to shake and do finger exercises every now and then. What someone like me needs are a pair of gloves. But using one I already have, a fully covered glove, will make touching the keyboard difficult.

This bear gloves gives wiggle room for the fingers, but at the same time, it keeps the hands warm.

This cute little thing is only available in Japan though, via Thanko, which explains the goofy design. (But hey — if it’s just something to use at home, does the design even matter?).

MasterCard with Diamonds

Published by Rachel under Misc Edit This

Mastercard With DiamondsEven with the economy bad and recession is hitting every worker in the industry left and right, MasterCard has figured rich people aren’t affected by the crunch.

Last month, they launched the new diamond studded credit card, with 0.02-carat diamonds lining the surface of it; making the card itself super valuable. The design of the card is even gender specific — for females, the card has a peacock image; for the males, the card has a winged horse.

The credit limit is a whopping $50,000, with a $1,000 annual fee. And as an added perk, card owners can call or bother a card manager, who is on call to serve them 24/7.

Of course, this card is a limited release.

USB Heated Sheep Slippers

Published by Rachel under Misc Edit This

I initially thought wearing this would make me look very silly but as the weather is getting colder and colder, I now see its importance and use. I would very much want these USB slippers —

Heated USB Slippers

With USB plugs, you can connect this on your computer and stay comfortable and warm while working, checking emails, surfing the internet or whatever you usually do when you’re on your computer desk.

If you need to step away from the PC, the slippers may be easily unplugged but you remain warm for a few more minutes.

It’s not so bad really. Especially if you do work at home all day or if there are no dress codes at work.

I just wish the slippers come in something else than pink, though.

$25/pair via Gadget4All

Would you slip on underwear with GPS?

Published by Rachel under Fashion, Misc Edit This

Not quite sure what is the logic behind this idea.

Sure, GPS technology is very useful. The navigation device saves a lot of time and trouble in getting to where we should go. But to put it in underwear? What is it for? How dumb would a person be if she misplaces her underwear? Or how paranoid and distrusting would someone be, to have a device like this tracking where you go all the time? If you’ve got a man like that, the best thing to do for your sake is to ditch him.

Is this this century’s chastity belt? A device to keep women from straying off their lover’s hold?
