In celebration of Barbie’s 50th year, Barbie and Stila have come together to release this special limited edition cosmetics that offers something else — this kit talks to you, in its best Barbie voice, as you do the application on your face. It’s different alright. A tad strange to me, even.
But while this may appear to be helpful, especially to those just starting to learn putting on make-up, the kit itself is without mirror, which is essential for someone learning to do it for the first time.
Also, the color selection is limited. This make-up kit, developed by Stila for Barbie, only contains four of Barbie’s favorite colors. That usually means it’s all pink and purple.
The limited edition make up kit is sold for $72 at Sephora.

Calvin Klein always does something different. It’s reason enough why they name brand has become one of the most familiar ones in the fashion industry today. Their concepts easily grab attention and recall.
Recently, the company’s perfume line had something new to offer its loyal consumers by introducing and adding a techno vibe to their famous unisex cologne — the CK One.
For a limited time, CK One’s will be packed in a special perfume bottle, one that has built in speakers on it, making it a really tiny audio gadget sitting on your dresser, in the bathroom, or inside your purse
Avail of this for $50 at Sephora Botique online.

I can’t help but gush over this very organized cosmetic case!
The organizer neatly stacks cosmetics in twenty three tubes and slots, it should be so easy to store them and should be very hard to lose tubes and creams alike. This case can even be mounted on the wall, to keep it safely in place. You have everything literally within reach….and have the clock quite handy, too. The clock is operated with batteries, by the way.
To me, this one looks like a big must have, especially since I just spilled a tube all over this cosmetic bag I keep!
It’s a space saver, a time saver, and a neat cosmetic case. All for $24.98 at Taylor’s Gift .

Here we go again with another Hello Kitty item.
This time, Hello Kitty teams up with MAC Cosmetics and will be releasing a special line of make-up collection that’s not for little kids, but actual make-up young adults and older women can use.
This Hello Kitty MAC make-ups will be available beginning February 10th on the MAC website , and February 12th in stores all across America. Come March, it will be available worldwide.

If you’re wondering why the famous cosmetics line is teaming up with this particular Sanrio brand is because the president of the Estee’ Lauder Cosmetics, makers of MAC, believes that —-
“This is a sexy and innocent fashion line, and a true MAC moment. In these times, everyone can use a little fun — and a little Kitty.”
In planning to target a more youthful, pop culture market the company believes its partnership with Sanrio will be a good fit.
I love the MAC make-up line no doubt and I think the Kitty’s cute so I am eager for this release.

Make up and cosmetics carry an expiration date. Mascara have the shortest. They last for about six months only, normally. After that, it is advisible to throw it out. Hence, some women put their cosmetics in the fridge. I do this for my creams but I was told that even with your lipstick, liners and mascara, you can also do this. The cold helps prolong their shelf-life.
A Korean company has come up with a fridge made specifically for cosmetics. It’s only a small home appliance, one that can fit into your car, perhaps and it comes in different atttractive colors (so that it doesn’t look like a regular fridge). Insdie, the cold is an ideal 8 to 12 degree Celsius. It also has a calendar feature which you can set up and input expiration dates.
Aside from cosmetics, you can also store perfume and colognes in this fridge.

It works as any regular hair dryer. But it is designed in a shape of a gun (hair dryers look like one anyway), complete with the trigger.
Teen girls and their friends will also find this appealing, I’m quite sure.

I’m trying to update my make-up collection and I know it’s time I get a new mascara since I have one that hasn’t been taken out of my kit for months. As ladies should know, mascaras have a shelf life. If it’s way passed 3 to 6 months, you’ve got to throw these away.
I’m not quite sure a battery operated mascara is what I’m looking for but it is definitely something different. Estee Lauder calls this “Turbolash All effects Motion Mascara” and it makes it sound like its Terminator more than anything.
Estee Lauder explains the battery function by saying that there is “a relationship between vibration, length, volume, separation and curl.”
