Transparent Iron
How cool is this one?
B-IRON 725 (on the right) is a uniquely designed iron. As you can see from the photo, it’s body is transparent. It’s actually made of tempered glass, which is different from any ordinary glass as this is heat resistant. It can handle temperature changes better.
Designed by Dongseok,Lee and Jihyung,Jung, the idea for this iron is so that one can see creases being flattened out of the clothes from all angles.
The red geometrical lines on the iron are where heat emanate. Those are Nichrome made electro-thermal wire. Twisting the handle will give the user a better grip, support and angle.
This concept won the Red Dot Design Award in 2008.
