Samsung’s Cleo mobile phone, which has recently been launched in Canada, is shaped like no other cellphone I’ve seen. It is oddly a solid square unit. It reminds me too much of a compact kit which we women use to touch up make-up.

But odd as this phone may seem to look, the Cleo, is in fact, quite a handy devise to carry around. The size isn’t a bother at all because the screen is big enough that it doesn’t leave the user visually impaired. It even comes with a set of QWERTY keyboard pad, where typing SMS isn’t also compromised. The compact cellphone is spacious.

It also features:

• 1.3MP camera
• an MP3 player
• 8GB expandable memory
• Bluetooth

And the final touch? The floral pattern on its surface. Samsung Cleo comes with three lovely colors — pink, champagne (as sampled in photo) and the limited edition Kisses from Cleo.

This gadget is exclusive to Solo Mobile, a service provider in Canada.
