Nasty Odor Gone, Thanks to ToiletKiller

Published by Rachel under Home Gadgets Edit This

Toilet Smell KillerI am one of those quite obsessive about how my toilet should smell. And why should I not be concerned? No one likes a stinky toilet, right? But some of these toilet disinfectant have very strong chemicals that it also is a punishment to my nostrils. Its worse for people with sinus problems.

The Toilet Smell Killer is different. It does help neutralize odor but it has none of that strong lemony scent that tickles my nose and makes me sneeze. Also, it’s one you do not have to replace every so often! That’s what I like about it best. Once you have the Toilet Smell Killer placed, it stays there forever, that’s why it’s been labeled as eco-friendly. Also, you save a lot on money with this.

Made from stainless steel, the Toilet Smell Killer is 100% free of chemicals and can neutralize even tough smelling odors.

This is available at Gizoo .

Are You Ready for Cyber Monday?

Published by Rachel under Cool Sites Edit This

If you have missed out on Black Friday (or trotting down to brick and mortar stores to check what you can hoard at the sale) then you can probably try your luck on Cyber Monday, which is the online version of Black Friday.

Online retailers at the official Cyber Monday site, Shop.Org, will be holding this special online sale, which has since taken place since 2005. There are reportedly over 500 shops to check out, these shops are member-retailers of Shop.Org.

You can read up on Cyber Monday in this press release here. Or you can visit the Cyber Monday online site, and check what they have in store for you.

I see stores like Ebag, Lands End, the Apple Store, Target, Dell, Overstock, Sears and Amazon on their list of merchants.

The great thing about Cyber Mondays is that you beat the shopping crowd and have a stress-free shopping extravanganza. Let’s hope the shop’s servers don’t slow down from all the online shopping people are going to do!

Meet Happy Laura, the cutest USB!

Happy Laura USB

I know of a friend who has just started collecting USB keys. And seeing this Happy Laura, a 2GB USB, I’m beginning to think of starting one myself. I am amazed at USB’s that doubles as something else and I’ve seen plenty with different functions.

Happy Laura can store up to 2000 photos worth. With it’s high speed 2.0 interface, transferring files to this tiny gadget is seamless. She is pretty useful, yes. And she also makes quite a cute pendant or charm bracelet.

Happy Laura is bedazzled with Swarovski crystals which is why she’s pretty and and shiny. Her ears are made of LED and they do light up when one is making data transfers.

The downside? This thing cost $180, because essentially, you are also buying fancy jewelry.

Chocolate Keyboards Make My Mouth Water

Chocolate Keyboard

Would you be able to work on the computer properly if you have something like this for a keyboard? It’s so rich in chocolatey color that if I didn’t know any better, I would have thought to take a bite out of it, too!

But this keyboard is a fully functional computer peripheral. It’s not comfort food, as mouth watering as it looks.  It’s also just a concept design from Michael Sholk. The chocolate keyboard (he calls it Sweet Design, clever huh?) isn’t out in the market yet. But when it does, I hope they include real chocolates in the package, as a marketing strategy.

I’m craving for a bar of chocolate just by looking at it. Arrgh!

MAC Make-Up Collection by Hello Kitty

Published by Rachel under Beauty Edit This

Here we go again with another Hello Kitty item.

This time, Hello Kitty teams up with MAC Cosmetics and will be releasing a special line of make-up collection that’s not for little kids, but actual make-up young adults and older women can use.

This Hello Kitty MAC make-ups will be available beginning February 10th on the MAC website , and February 12th in stores all across America. Come March, it will be available worldwide.

Hello Kitty Make Up

If you’re wondering why the famous cosmetics line is teaming up with this particular Sanrio brand is because the president of the Estee’ Lauder Cosmetics, makers of MAC, believes that —-

“This is a sexy and innocent fashion line, and a true MAC moment. In these times, everyone can use a little fun — and a little Kitty.”

In planning to target a more youthful, pop culture market the company believes its partnership with Sanrio will be a good fit.

I love the MAC make-up line no doubt and I think the Kitty’s cute so I am eager for this release.

If God Was On Facebook

Published by Rachel under Cool Sites Edit This

Do you own a Facebook account? If you do, then you know people find everything in there, right? I own a Facebook myself. But I only got around to using and exploring the site nearly a year after I signed up because I thought it was too complicated. It had too many features on it that I didn’t know where to begin and I couldn’t understand why other people were liking the site.

Facebook has some celebrity accounts, too. Many of these are probably posers but some of these accounts are very real. Being friends with these celebrities and tracking (stalking!) what they have on their Facebook makes them more human and normal like the rest of us

But I bet you didn’t know even God has his own Facebook account, huh?

Those who are familiar with that site will definitely get a kick out of this:

Mac Dock Pillows for Mac Fanboys and Fangirls

Published by Rachel under Home Gadgets Edit This

Mac Throwpillows

Geeking over your Apple computer, huh? You probably admire those dock icons so much, you wouldn’t mind having them in tangible throw pillow form, display these on the couch or use these to sleep on.

Each of these pillows are specially ordered, handcrafted and filled with polyester fibers. They are made from 100% fleece, so you can imagine just how soft it is.

But like most Apple products, these pillows are priced just a little bit higher at $29 each. If you’re getting all icons, this will set you back at around $149.

These aren’t official Apple items though, but it comes from the creative minds of those running the company called Throwboy.

Aside from these Mac Dock pillows, Throwboy also has a collection of chat shorthand throw pillows with the words “brb”, “n00b” and “omg” on it, for chat addicted computer users.

Retro Chic Tetris Bangle

Published by Rachel under Fashion Edit This

I do not know anyone who didn’t go crazy playing Tetris a decade ago. It was the craze of the season. It was a game that required some strategic thinking and was the kind that would get anyone addicted for hours and hours. Like all craze though, the fad soon waned most especially with the arrival of more complicated, more addictive games.

But everyone can look back fondly at Tetris. And for someone creating a bangle inspired by it, would definitely bring sentimental memories back for Tetris addicts. This would make a lovely present for people like them.

Tetris Bracelet

Made from resin, this bangle is so detailed down to the last tiny and very colorful brick. It’s a design creation by Polish Sylwia Calus who has her own shop at Etsy.

iPod Cigarette Container

I do not smoke, nor do I own an iPod like this one. Which makes this gadget useless for me, but quite useful for people who do both.

When iPods die on you, most people stick their units in the back drawer to gather dust.  But if you’ve got creative hands, you can probably make some use of an idle gadget by turning it into a cigarette case, like this one:

iPod cigarette case

Take the parts out to make space for the cigs inside. This photo had no screen anymore so the owner painted it out in black. You can probably do embellishments for a more personalized container. It’s a simple DIY project.

If you aren’t a smoker, like the person who made this case, you can probably gift this friends or just carry it around to amuse other people.
