They say that plants grow better if you talk to them like you would a pet animal or a regular human being. I’ve always thought that’s kind of boring because plants do not react at all. At least with pets, I could at least see them wagging their tails. Besides, talking to plants? That may look like I’m the the crazy old plant lady from afar.
With this really, really cool digital pot —I won’t seem so crazy looking now. Designed by Junyi Heo, the pot has the ability to measure the condition of the plant inside it and then translates this into moods which will display on the front of the pot. It will indicate whether the plant is feeling fine or whether it needs water more or in danger of dying.

If you connect the pot via the USB, you will even be able to record all of its moods. How cool is that?

I don’t own an iPhone and I have to admit that when a friend showed his to me, I found myself overwhelmed by it. The colors, the features, what you can do with it —- it was just too much for my preference.
It could also be that my friend just demonstrated its working too fast, like breezy fast, so I got all confused and convinced myself it was complicated gadget.
But this two year old kid shows me how wrong I am. She works her way around the full-packed gadget with ease. It’s amazing to watch what she can do, she’s one smart kid! And it’s amazing how much user-friendly the iPhone is, a two year old can use it!

I couldn’t figure out how this one actually works. It looks like part of a soda can or something useless like it but I am mistaken. This is how it holds up your gadgets and I think it’s pretty cool:

The Driinn Mobile Phone Holder is an essential product for anyone using a mobile phone, PDA device or MP3 player. It provides support for the phone and convenient storage for the charging cord, making recharging very easy. The Driinn is made of a special mix of plastic and rubber for maximum strength and grip. Position the Driinn between the battery charger and the wall socket, place the phone on the holder, wrap adapter cord around the holder, then insert the adapter for recharging.

I still do not have the Xbox 360 but I do have the first version of the console and it was rather a really big and bulky item! It even looks like something out of the 70’s. It was just really big and heavy!
The Xbox 360 though, I know, carries a sleek design. But other gamers may want to dress up the console to look even better or to fit their personality and personal preference.
But a naked console shell?
To distinguish your Xbox 360 from everyone else’s, replace the shell with a transparent XCM Diamond case which allows for easy inspection of the console’s innards. In addition to the replacement Xbox 360 shell, a matching replacement joypad case is also included so you can view the internals of your controller.
At $49.00 would you want your console safely exposed like that? What do you think?

This robot is not for sale nor is it already out in the market. I sure that it’s still a prototype. Watch:
A humanoid robot learning to cook an omelet by whipping eggs, cutting ham and grating cheese. Through the use of a probabilistic model, the robot progressively learns to generalize the skill to various situations.
Would it eventually be programmable to prepare dishes other than omelet? It would make a home makers life a lot easier!
Although it looks like an ingenious idea, the knife handling….that looks quite dangerous, especially if the robot goes berserk! There ought to be an off button on it.
But would you love to have this one as a kitchen helper? Or do you still prefer cooking omelets the traditional way?

How do you like your morning toast? Extra brown? With a generous layer of jam on top? With a note scribbled on it from a loved one?
Sasha Tseng , has conceptualize this read-while-you-eat appliance with the idea that “beautiful mornings should begin with eating the message”. Keeping the spark in a relationship….I think it’s a wonderful invention! You get a hearty breakfast with this one, you get energized from the love notes you read from your better half or people who care about you; and you help save the environment by scribbling less on papers and post-it-notes as you digest the message with you.
Except that, bad news must never be scribbled on this toast messenger. Because one is likely going to get more than indigestion with that, for sure.

I’m not quite sure if I like this or I hate this. It’s like looking at my insides. But its porcelain and polished white look is appealing. So I am kinda on the fence. Do I really like it or does it make me feel uncomfortable?
The uterus vase is supposedly a “celebration” of the essence of a female reproductive organ; a reflection of another form of beauty. Okay. I get that. It’s a deep and profound representation. It really just looks iffy to me.
The uterus vase is only available in limited quantities — actually, about twenty pieces only; there aren’t a lot of homes going to be celebrating its essence then.

Hedge hogs…they hardly qualify for cute. I don’t often see them as caricatures or animated characters unlike bunnies, dogs, cats, birds or unicorns. But this laptop sleeve makes it work. See?

How cute is that?
Barry’s Farm sells this (and other kinds of unique and adorable laptop sleeve designs) for about $40. The item is made of vinyl, which is durable enough. Inside it is a super soft flannel lining and foam cushioning that should be make nice, safe place for your precious gadget. The sleeve has a zipper secure so you wouldn’t have to worry about the laptop slipping off.
Nice, huh?

Did you have a favorite doll you bring to bed with as a child? How did it feel like? Comforting, huh? Sends you to sleep in a flash? Are there days, when as an adult, you find yourself longing for that doll? Or something like it?
This “Healing Partner” doll, with its six sensors, supposedly helps you sleep even when under stress. How? It sings you to sleep. The doll has a name, mind you. It’s Yumel. When you wake up, Yumel wakes up, too. It even talks to you if its well taken care of.
As crazy as this idea sounds, Yumel does serve a purpose for single people needing company in bed. And I don’t mean that in a sleazy way!
On the other hand, this does seem to work for kids, too. So….if the purchase isn’t for you, you may get one like this for your child.
The doll is available at AudioCubes .
It is a Japanese invention.

Girlsense — it’s a social networking site basically geared for teenagers girls and women who still feel like they are sixteen year olds.
Once you register and create your membership, you ideally “become part of a fashion community, enjoy dress up games, create your own fashions and communicate safely via notes”. You can also start building your own boutique, where you can “sell” your own fashion creations to other users.
Simply put — it’s like the hi-tech world of playing with paper dolls, plus you get to do play with it with people all around the world.
At the moment, the site boost of 13 Million registered users. And I’m pretty sure not everyone of registered are girls. Hah.
